Recently I’ve banged around on my friend’s set though, and I really think I would love to take it up for real. What’s the best way to start? Is it possible to learn on your own or would I need a teacher? Any recommendations for cheap beginner sets? I obviously don’t want to make a huge investment since I’m not 100% positive I’ll stick with it….is it ever possible to take lessons without actually owning a drum set first?
