was the machine very noisy recently? ifso bearings may have failed;on old m/c this is terminal unless you want to part with lots of ££…or if you are more lucky the m/c may have digested an item of clothing which is stuck between the inner and outer drum;you may be able to see this through the holes in the inner drum,worth spending money to remove.good luck..
