Is it possible to build a soundproof “box” for a drum set in an unfinished basement that would actually work?

I recently bought a house and it has an unfinished basement. I would like to use the basement for drums but want to soundproof the noise from the neighbors as much as I can. I wanted to know if it was possible, using some wood, to construct a box large enough to contain a drum set (and drummer) along with being soundproof. I thought about framing a double paned wooden box with soundproof foam on the inside.

Yes and save money as well Assuming you have poured or block walls. Look over the fiberglass ceiling tiles 3×4 plastic fronted. Using liquid nail. These can be glued to the walls. And come in many colors. Easy to cut as well. You can take these and turn a cement Wall into quit a art project. Use as you would color tiles, Insulated and sound proof. Spray with a clear cote. Problem there easy to damage and need cleaned with mild detergent Next take roll insulation and insulate between the floor beams. Use 2 0r 3 layers of paper cote. then 4×8 sheets of fiberglass over them. Nail to the beams. Can be painted with water bases paint. Not much sound would escape a basement like that. Do not put wood under ground termites love that. Have mature Friends these are soft walls and ceiling easy to damage jamesbergen50
