How can I remove black (pen) ink that has melted and splattered all over my dryer drum?

A pen was accidentally left in the pocket of a jacket and placed into the washer and then into the dryer. No problem with the washer, but the dryer drum is a splattered mess. Any way to remove the ink? I’m afraid when the dryer heats up again the next batch of clothes will be stained with the remaining ink.
