My drummer is comfortable playing drums at 180bpm so I was wondering if I could play bass at that speed.
If so, what effects would be recommended to make it that little more punchy with more bass?

My bass drum on my kit is not loud at all, you cant hear it over my snare or cymbals which makes kicking it pointless, ive got a pillow in there because without a pillow it sounds shit, but then again if i take the pillow out its loud, but i dont want to cause it sounds perfect
