Is being in a Drum-line or Marching Band considered doing some kind of sport?
Rachel asked:
Some people think that Marching Band and Drum-lines aren’t considered sports. Recently being part of a drum-line, i have realized that it can be considered a sport in my eyes, yet some people still tend to disagree.

Is it too late to become a drum major in college?
oldegolde2004 asked:
Currently, I am in a university and I never knew anything about the marching band in my highschool years. Right now though, I am looking into either the colorgaurd or being a drum major.
Should I have started earlier?
If I start now . ..are there any special marching bands/corps I can attend?
Will it bring any advantage to my college career?
When/how do I start?

foshizzle asked:
I play bass drum in my high school’s marching band. I hit pretty hard because it sounds better. However, now my wrists hurt/ are sore when I bend it certain ways. Does this happen to bass drummers often? Will it go away?

What Kind of metronome do Drum Corps use?
JJ save asked:
I help instruct my old school’s marching band from time to time (particularly the drumline) and I wanna help them get a little more dedicated. I want to get them a metronome that Drum Corps use but I have no idea what kind it is. Anybody know? and money is not a factor here.
The kind you always hear in parking lot warm-ups. They are played really loudly as the drumline warms up

Is the drum line more important than the band?
Alex asked:
In the marching band that I’m in, the drum line always want to say that they’re better than the band. I am really sick and tired of them saying that. They gloat that they’re the best when they slow the tempo down, play louder than the band, and don’t watch the drum majors. I want someone else’s opinion about this.
