The drum on my washing machine has fallen off inside. Can this be fixed?

The machine is about 6 years old, an Indesit. There was a loud bang and as the spinning continued I could see the side of the machine bulging as the drum banged against it. Very scary! The drum is now lower than normal and to one side. Can it be fixed or should I just buy a new one? Thanks!

Every part of the washing machine cycle works except when it involves the spinning of the drum to take water out of the cloths. Then I have to hand-pump the drum to get it going. Is this the actual motor going out? Thanks for your help!
